Counseling

Individuals, Couples and Families
This traditional form of counseling is provided by therapists affiliated with The Council for Relationships, the oldest counseling center in continuous operation in Pennsylvania. The Council's mission is to help people interact in healthier and happier ways. Couples can seek help with difficulties in communication, intimacy, power struggles, money, sexuality, marital and premarital problems, separation, divorce, or specific gay and lesbian concerns. Families are able to work on such issues as the family life cycle, communication, parent/child conflict, or divorce and blended families. Children are seen for school issues, adolescent problems, and other emotional difficulties. Individuals may seek help with problems relating to family relationships, self-esteem, depression, stress, commitment, sexual function/dysfunction, abuse, and chronic illness.
