Tool for Living With
Cancer
One of the most difficult
things a person can hear is,
“You have cancer.”
The diagnosis is an entry into a foreign
land, and suddenly one is faced with a new language and a new culture. The
journey through this confusing and frightening new landscape is made easier by
supportive family and friends and by confidence in the skills of one’s medical
team. But more is often needed, and this monthly group is designed to provide
peer support and information—
tools for living with cancer.
Facilitated by Barbara Foxman, a
licensed social worker who is living with cancer, and Judith Sullivan, an
Episcopal priest and a caregiver to a loved one living with cancer.
